Jill completes her second project! December 5, 2012

OK – most of us start out making potholders or scarves.   Not Jill.  She just learned to crochet this summer and has completed two big projects.   The afghan pictured was made with Homespun yarn and –yes----she read the pattern herself and did a beautiful job!

2012 Holiday Lunch–Smithville Inn

 

Big Thanks go to Nancy and Marie for coordinating our Holiday Luncheon this year at the Smithville Inn.  We had a beautiful room all to ourselves and enjoyed an excellent lunch.

Thanks go to Rita who has been keeping a record of photo's, articles as well as thank you cards, etc. for Hugs and Stitches.   The first picture below was the founding group back in 2002.  Where did the time go.   Ten years later our group has grown in leaps and bounds.   Sadly, we've lost some members, but gladly, we've welcomed many wonderful women who share our mission - "To provide a warm and friendly atmosphere to its members, and to provide warmth and hugs in the projects that are donated to many different worthwhile organizations."
